rooftop concert
Building-top musical show
A rooftop concert is a musical performance staged on top of a building, typically in an urban setting.
The format gained iconic status from the Beatles' 1969 performance atop Apple Corps headquarters in London—their final public appearance.
The term now evokes both that specific cultural moment and any outdoor performance exploiting unconventional elevated space: They played a rooftop concert overlooking the city.
