Tambour-covered writing surface
A rolltop desk is a desk with a flexible cover made of parallel wooden slats that rolls up into the body of the desk to reveal the writing surface and compartments, and rolls down to conceal and protect them when not in use: He kept his papers organized in the cubbyholes of his grandfather's rolltop desk.
