resod
Lay fresh turf
To resod is to replace the grass on a lawn or field by laying new sod—pre-grown turf cut into rolls or squares.
The process typically follows damage, disease, or neglect: We had to resod the backyard after the drought killed everything.
Sports fields are often resodded between seasons.
