reradiate
Send energy back
To reradiate is to radiate again or radiate back—typically energy that was first absorbed.
A surface that absorbs sunlight and then emits heat is reradiating that energy: The pavement reradiates warmth long after sunset.
The term appears most often in physics and climate science, describing how materials receive and release radiation.
