reradiated
Sent out again
Reradiated means radiated again or sent out after being absorbed.
The term appears most often in physics and climate science, where surfaces absorb energy and then reradiate it: Heat absorbed by the Earth's surface is reradiated as infrared radiation.
The prefix re- indicates the energy has already been received from another source before being emitted anew.
