rejoining

Returning to membership

Rejoining is the act of joining again something you were previously part of or connected to.

You might rejoin a conversation after stepping away, rejoin a club after letting your membership lapse, or rejoin friends at a restaurant after running an errand.

The word also covers the sense of replying or responding, especially in a sharp or pointed way: She rejoined that the criticism was unfair.
