regripping
Replacing worn handles
Regripping is replacing the grip on a tool or piece of sports equipment, especially a golf club or tennis racket.
Grips wear smooth over time, losing their tackiness and texture: I'm taking my clubs in for regripping before the season starts.
The term also describes the act of gripping something again after losing hold.
