handgrip
Where fingers wrap
A handgrip is the part of an object designed to be held—the rubber handgrip on a bicycle handlebar, the textured handgrip of a tennis racket.
It can also mean the act or manner of gripping: a firm handgrip.
In exercise equipment, handgrips are spring-loaded devices squeezed to strengthen forearm muscles.
