registration drive
Sign-up recruitment effort
A registration drive is an organized effort to sign people up for something, most often voter registration.
Political parties, advocacy groups, and community organizations conduct registration drives before elections, setting up tables at public places to help eligible citizens register to vote: The campus registration drive added two thousand new voters.
Similar drives exist for other purposes—organ donation, library cards, or event enrollment.
