regional planner

Territory development coordinator

A regional planner is a professional who designs and coordinates land use, transportation, housing, and development across a geographic region.

Unlike city planners who focus on single municipalities, regional planners address issues that cross jurisdictional boundaries: The regional planner worked to connect three counties with a unified transit system.

The work involves balancing growth, environmental protection, and infrastructure needs.
