refights
Wages war anew
Refights is the third-person singular form of refight, meaning to fight again.
A general refights a battle by engaging in it a second time, or by replaying it mentally: He refights the war in his head, imagining different outcomes.
Arguments and conflicts get refought when old grievances resurface: Every holiday, the family refights the same disputes.
