razorbacks

Lean wild pigs

Razorbacks are wild or feral hogs with a distinctive ridge of stiff hair along the spine, common in the American South.

The term evokes lean, tough, half-wild pigs that roam freely.

Razorback is also the mascot of the University of Arkansas athletic teams: The Razorbacks play in the SEC.
