feral donkeys
Untamed pack animals
Feral donkeys are domesticated donkeys that have escaped or been released and now live wild.
They descend from animals brought as pack animals and allowed to roam free.
In the American Southwest and Australia, feral donkey populations have grown large enough to be considered pests, competing with native wildlife for water and vegetation.
Also called wild burros.
