rapporteur
Appointed meeting delegate
A rapporteur is a person appointed to investigate and report on a subject, typically for an official body or committee.
The term appears most often in international and governmental contexts: The UN special rapporteur on human rights issued her findings.
A rapporteur gathers information, synthesizes it, and presents conclusions to the group that commissioned the report.
