Raghead is an ethnic slur for people who wear turbans or similar head coverings—primarily directed at Arabs, South Asians, Sikhs, and Muslims.
The term is deeply offensive, reducing religious and cultural identity to a piece of cloth.
It saw increased use after September 11, 2001, often accompanied by violence or threats.
