questionee
One being interrogated
A questionee is a person being questioned—the counterpart to the questioner.
The word is uncommon but transparent: The questionee shifted nervously under cross-examination.
It follows the pattern of interviewer/interviewee or employer/employee, marking the one who receives rather than initiates the action.
