question words
Who, what, where
Question words are the words that begin questions seeking specific information rather than yes-or-no answers: who, what, when, where, why, how, which, whose.
They're sometimes called interrogatives or wh-words, though "how" breaks the pattern.
In indirect questions, they serve as conjunctions: I wonder where she went.
Ask him what he wants.
