quarter-life
Mid-twenties milestone
Quarter-life describes the period around age twenty-five, when someone has lived roughly a quarter of a typical lifespan.
The term appears almost exclusively in the phrase quarter-life crisis—a period of anxiety and uncertainty about career, relationships, and identity that strikes young adults as they transition from student life to full adulthood.
