propaganda film
Ideological motion picture
A propaganda film is a movie designed primarily to promote a political ideology, cause, or viewpoint rather than to entertain or inform objectively.
The term usually implies manipulation—selective presentation, emotional appeals, and omission of contrary evidence.
While often associated with authoritarian regimes Nazi propaganda films, democracies produce them too, especially during wartime: The government commissioned propaganda films to boost morale.
