pressrun
Copies being printed
A pressrun is the continuous operation of a printing press to produce a specific print job, or the total number of copies printed in that run: The first pressrun sold out in three days.
Publishers use pressrun numbers to gauge demand—a large initial pressrun signals confidence in a book's sales.
Also spelled as two words: press run.
