post-humans
Beyond current humanity
Post-humans are hypothetical future beings that have evolved or been technologically modified beyond current human limitations.
The term appears in philosophy, science fiction, and futurism to describe entities enhanced through genetic engineering, cybernetics, or artificial intelligence to the point where they're no longer recognizably human: In a post-human future, biological death might be optional.
The concept raises questions about identity, consciousness, and what defines humanity.
