posed shots
Deliberately composed pictures
Posed shots are photographs where subjects are deliberately arranged rather than captured candidly.
The term implies artificiality—someone instructed people where to stand, how to smile, what to do with their hands.
The wedding album was all posed shots; I wanted something more natural.
Contrasts with candid photography, where subjects are unaware or unposed.
