portrait studio
Formal photography space
A portrait studio is a space equipped for taking formal photographs of people, typically with controlled lighting, backdrops, and props.
The term covers professional establishments where families sit for portraits and sections within larger stores offering similar services: We got the kids' photos done at a portrait studio in the mall.
