porch swings
Hanging outdoor seats
Porch swings are bench-like seats suspended by chains or ropes from a porch ceiling or frame, designed to swing gently back and forth.
They evoke leisurely afternoons and are fixtures of Southern American and small-town domestic life: We sat on the porch swing watching fireflies.
The gentle rocking motion makes them spaces for conversation, relaxation, or courtship.
