pop and lock
Jerky street dancing
Pop and lock is a style of street dance characterized by quick, sharp muscle contractions (popping) combined with freezing the body in rigid positions (locking).
The technique creates a robotic, staccato effect and emerged from West Coast funk culture in the 1970s.
He learned to pop and lock by watching videos of the Electric Boogaloos.
