podcast intro
Show's opening segment
A podcast intro is the opening segment of a podcast episode—typically a short, repeatable sequence featuring music, the show's name, and a brief description of what the podcast covers.
Some intros include the host introducing themselves or a tagline: Welcome to Criminal, a podcast about crime.
The intro establishes tone and brand identity, helping listeners recognize the show immediately.
