playlist curator
Song sequence arranger
A playlist curator is someone who selects and arranges songs for a playlist, typically on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music.
The role ranges from casual hobbyists assembling themed collections to professionals whose editorial picks can launch careers: Getting on a major playlist curator's radar can make an unknown artist.
The term elevates what might otherwise be called making a mix.
