physically challenged

Having mobility difficulties

Physically challenged is a euphemism for disabled or handicapped, referring to people with physical impairments that limit mobility or function.

The term emerged in the late 20th century as part of efforts to use more positive language, though many in the disability community now prefer the direct term *disabled*.

Sometimes used sarcastically for minor inconveniences: I'm physically challenged when it comes to touching my toes.
