perpetual care
Forever tended grounds
Perpetual care is a cemetery arrangement where a portion of the burial plot purchase goes into a fund for ongoing maintenance—mowing, landscaping, and upkeep of the grounds in perpetuity.
The term appears in cemetery contracts and on signs: Perpetual care cemetery.
Despite the name, "perpetual" depends on the fund remaining solvent.
