peri peri
Spicy Portuguese sauce
Peri peri is a spicy sauce or seasoning made from African bird's eye chilis, typically combined with garlic, citrus, and oil.
The term comes from Swahili for "pepper pepper." It's closely associated with Portuguese-African cuisine, especially grilled chicken: peri peri chicken, peri peri wings.
