Spicy Portuguese sauce
Piri piri is a spicy chili pepper sauce or seasoning originating from Portuguese and African cuisines, made from small, fiery African bird's eye chilies.
The name comes from Swahili for "pepper pepper." It's most associated with grilled chicken dishes: piri piri chicken, I'll have the prawns with piri piri sauce.
