perfect cube
Third-power whole number
A perfect cube is an integer that results from multiplying a whole number by itself twice: 1, 8, 27, 64, 125, and so on.
The term distinguishes these from cube roots that yield irrational numbers.
Twenty-seven is a perfect cube because it equals three times three times three.
