platonic solid
Regular convex polyhedron
A platonic solid is a three-dimensional shape whose faces are identical regular polygons meeting at identical vertices.
Only five exist: the tetrahedron (4 triangular faces), cube (6 square faces), octahedron (8 triangular faces), dodecahedron (12 pentagonal faces), and icosahedron (20 triangular faces).
Named for Plato, who associated them with the classical elements.
