peek-a-boo
Face-hiding game
Peek-a-boo is a game played with infants, where an adult hides their face behind their hands or an object, then reveals it while saying "peek-a-boo!" The baby's delight comes from the surprise reappearance.
As an adjective, peek-a-boo describes clothing or styles with openings that reveal glimpses of skin: a peek-a-boo blouse.
