party platforms
Political stance documents
A party platform is the official statement of a political party's positions, policies, and priorities.
Platforms are typically adopted at national conventions and serve as declarations of what the party stands for: The Republican platform called for tax cuts.
Individual candidates may deviate from their party's platform, but it remains the benchmark against which positions are measured.
