partial denture
Gap-filling dental appliance
A partial denture is a removable dental appliance that replaces one or more missing teeth while attaching to remaining natural teeth.
Unlike a full denture, which replaces all teeth in an arch, a partial fills gaps: The dentist fitted him with a partial denture after he lost three molars.
Often shortened to partial.
