paramnesia
Falsified memory disorder
Paramnesia is a disturbance of memory in which real and imagined events become confused.
The term covers various memory illusions—déjà vu (feeling you've experienced something before), false memories, or inability to distinguish dreams from actual experiences.
Used primarily in psychology and psychiatry: The patient exhibited paramnesia, insisting on events that never occurred.
