suggestibility
Openness to influence
Suggestibility is the tendency to accept ideas, influences, or directions from others without much critical resistance.
A highly suggestible person is easily swayed by advertising, hypnosis, or peer pressure: Children's suggestibility makes them vulnerable to leading questions.
The trait exists on a spectrum—some suggestibility is normal, but excessive suggestibility raises concerns about manipulation or false memories.
