paper pulp
Wet wood mash
Paper pulp is wood or other plant fiber that has been mechanically or chemically broken down and mixed with water to form a wet, mushy substance used in papermaking.
The fibers are beaten and processed until they form a slurry that can be spread, pressed, and dried into sheets.
Beyond paper production, paper pulp appears in papier-mâché crafts and molded packaging materials like egg cartons.
