pagefile
Disk memory extension
A pagefile is a hidden file on a computer's hard drive that acts as virtual memory, allowing the system to use disk space as an extension of RAM.
When physical memory fills up, the operating system moves less-used data to the pagefile, freeing RAM for active processes.
Also called a swap file.
Windows reported my pagefile was too small.
