overlearn
Study past mastery
To overlearn something is to practice or study it beyond the point of initial mastery, reinforcing it until recall becomes automatic.
The term comes from psychology and education: Overlearning multiplication tables means you never have to think about them.
Athletes and musicians overlearn fundamental skills so they can perform under pressure without conscious effort.
