outbluff
Beat by faking
To outbluff is to defeat someone by bluffing more successfully than they do—calling their bluff while maintaining your own, or simply bluffing harder.
The term comes from poker but applies anywhere deception and nerve meet: He tried to intimidate me, but I outbluffed him and he backed down.
