contour drawing
Continuous line sketch
Contour drawing is an artistic technique where the artist draws the outline of a subject without lifting the pencil from the paper, often without looking at the page.
The method trains hand-eye coordination and close observation: In blind contour drawing, you trace the edges of what you see while keeping your eyes on the subject, not the paper.
The resulting lines are continuous and often imperfect, emphasizing perception over accuracy.
