nyet
Moscow's firm decline
Nyet is the Russian word for no, sometimes used in English for emphatic or humorous refusal: Want to try skydiving? Nyet.
It gained currency during the Cold War as a symbol of Soviet intransigence and still carries that blunt, uncompromising flavor.
