nose plugs
Swimmer's nostril seals
Nose plugs are small devices inserted into or clipped onto the nostrils to prevent water from entering during swimming or diving.
They're standard equipment for synchronized swimmers, who spend extended time inverted underwater.
Some people also use nose plugs to block unpleasant odors or allergens: I wear nose plugs when cleaning the cat litter.
