nonspeaker

One without speech

A nonspeaker is someone who does not speak a particular language or does not speak at all.

In discussions of disability and autism, nonspeaker often refers to people who communicate through means other than speech—writing, typing, sign language, or assistive devices: Many nonspeakers prefer this term to "nonverbal" because they do use language, just not spoken language.
