nomadic herders
Roaming livestock keepers
Nomadic herders are people who move seasonally with their livestock—sheep, goats, cattle, camels, or reindeer—following grazing lands and water sources.
This way of life, called pastoralism, persists in parts of Central Asia, East Africa, and the Arctic.
The nomadic herders crossed the steppe with their flocks as they had for generations.
