nicotinic
Relating to tobacco
Nicotinic describes things relating to or affected by nicotine.
In pharmacology and biochemistry, nicotinic receptors are a type of receptor that responds to both nicotine and the neurotransmitter acetylcholine: nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
Nicotinic acid is another name for niacin, a B vitamin—so called because it was first derived from nicotine, though it has no similar effects.
