newspaper strips

Newspaper strips are comic strips published in newspapers, typically appearing daily or weekly in a dedicated comics section.

The format traditionally runs as a horizontal sequence of panels, with Sunday editions often larger and in color.

Classic newspaper strips like Peanuts, Garfield, and Calvin and Hobbes achieved cultural prominence through syndication across hundreds of papers.

The form has declined as print circulation shrinks, though some strips continue online.
