nautical maps
Sailor's navigation guides
Nautical maps are charts showing water depths, coastlines, navigational hazards, and aids to navigation like buoys and lighthouses.
Mariners use them to plot safe courses: The captain consulted the nautical map before entering the harbor.
The more common term is nautical charts or simply charts.
